Maestro Charles Prince leads the PSO in it's second concert of the season featuring the return to Plainfield of the World Famous - double bass virtuoso, Gary Karr . He will be performing three solo works with the orchestra: Max Bruch's Kol Nidrei, Domenico Dragonetti's Concerto in A, and Jose Serebrier's Nueve, Mr Karr premiered the latter composition in 1965 which was commissioned to celebrate the symphony's 50th Anniversary! Joining Mr Karr will be another returning virtuoso artist, violinist Elmira Darvarova. She will perform David Amram's "Elegy" and then together, they will perform the Bottesini Grand Duo Concertante for Violin and String Bass. Other works to be featured on the program are: Rossini's William Tell Overture, Jose Serebrier's Adagio for Strings and his latest "world premiere" arrangement of Tchaikovsky's " None but the Lonely Heart" ( Goethe) for string orchestra.
