Father and Son Perform Together in Baroque Concert The public is invited to a Classical Baroque Concert on May 18th at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held at the Christ Ascension Lutheran Church, 8300 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19118. This program will be presented and performed by musicians Michael Locati (violin), his son Gabriel Locati (mandolin) ,Wesley Parrott (organ) and Pat Mercuri (guitar). Michael Locati has performed extensively in the Philadelphia area as a soloist and with the Lukens Piano Trio. Gabriel Locati is a 17-year-old Mandolinist who attends Upper Dublin High School and is a member of the Munier Mandolin & Guitar Orchestra and the Philadelphia Mandolin Ensemble; he is a student of Pat Mercuri. Wesley Parrott is organist at St. Mary's Episcopal Church and regularly can be heard playing the famous Wanamaker Organ in Center City, Philadelphia. Pat Mercuri performs as plectrum instrumentalist with the Philadelphia Orchestra and has also appeared with the New York Philharmonic. The concert will feature music by J.S. Bach, Antonio Vivaldi and the obscure English composer Richard Jones who lived from 1680 to 1740. "I am excited to be performing music by Richard Jones,” commented Michael Locati. “His music is eccentric, captivating, a hidden gem in the violin repertoire."
