This week's Friday evening concert (7/14 at 8 pm) brings another performance by the IRIS Orchestra, conducted by founding conductor and Artistic Director Michael Stern. The program will feature works by great composers who were in the throws of the 19th century and spilling forward into the 20th century - Dvorak's Symphonic Variations, Schoenberg's Chamber Symphony No. 2 and Brahms' Symphony No. 4.
The IRIS Orchestra, based in Germantown, Tennessee, is made up of preeminent musicians from around the country and conducted by Michael Stern, son of the legendary violinist.
