Sounds Choral Presents English Church Music-A Tradition Forged in Turbulence: Host-Gabriel Crouch

Sounds Choral this Sunday (9/17) at 2 pm continues its two-part series "English Church Music – A Tradition Forged in Turbulence" with host Gabriel Crouch, director of choral activities at Princeton University.

This week's program will feature music by William Byrd and others.

Sounds Choral was created in 2005 by Marjorie Herman, who hosted the program until her retirement this past summer.  The show will continue with an adventurous and unique new dynamic as it mines the choral riches and treasures of our region and tradition.

Future programs will be hosted on a rotating basis by Crouch; James Jordan, professor at Westminster Choir College at Rider University, director of the Westminster Conducting Institute and co-director of the Choral Conducting Institute at Oxford; Fernando Malvar-Ruiz, former Litton-Lodal Music Director of the American Boychoir School; Amanda Quist, associate professor and department chair of Conducting, Organ and Sacred Music at Westminster Choir College; and Ryan James Brandau, artistic director of Princeton Pro Musica.
